Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . The bathroom was in even a more revolting state — spilling over , with a snapped lever and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Many visitors have reported witnessing insects darting across the bar area and proof of vermin in the storage spaces .
